Originally from Melbourne, Australia, John Hewett Hallum has lived in Ottawa since 1968. He is a graduate of Ottawa University and has enjoyed a long career in photography and visual art education. In 2008, he joined the teaching staff at SPAO (School of the Photographic Arts): Ottawa.
John is currently producing two portfolios of fine art photographic works which examine the fusion of time and space to life and death. He continually strives to reveal the aesthetics and meanings that exist beneath the image.
John currently divides his shooting time between Canada and Mexico.
