Leslie Hossack is a Canadian photographer who lives in Ottawa; she travels extensively and spends three months every year in Vancouver. Her work has been exhibited in several galleries and venues, including the National Press Club and the National Arts Centre. Her photographs have also been featured in Canadian Camera and The Ottawa Sun.
Currently Hossack is working on a multiyear project exploring zones of urban transition, such as the site of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Village. Having completed major studies of change and continuity in Paris and Berlin, she recently started working on an extended examination of the 2012 Olympic construction site in East London. When in Ottawa, Hossack continues her exploration of urban evolution closer to home, fascinated as always by public spaces and familiar objects from past generations.
